We were on a cruise ship day trip and our guide took us to this sweet little temple. It is dedicated to the protector of sailors and so would be a great place to pray for a safe voyage if you are on a cruise.

Really enjoyed looking at the details here - some great culture, architecture and colors to absorb. Recommend it if you're in town.

We found it very exciting - and with the local guide it made a difference, with all his explanations of Yin and Yang, the prayers, and all the Wood Work.

This temple, i was told, is dedicated to the 'female' spirits. It is one of those places that could be easily missed while in busy Chinatown, but make the effort to find it and visit! It's a little run down in parts, but i personally thought that it added to the charm. Recommended!

We were a van load of cruise ship passengers with “Saigon Touring” and Dung Zoom have stopped at the Chinatown Heavenly Lady Temple (Ba Thiên Hậu Temple) to learn of the traditional Chinese influence in Saigon. Outside one of the Temple Zoom stopped next to a lady with six cages of birds she was selling for the purchaser to set... More

We stopped at this temple during our tour with XO. About a dozen worshippers in the temple when we arrived and 4 tourists. Our little tour group doubled the tourist numbers and we enjoyed an informative half hour plus with our guide. Very ornate with many incense sticks burning. The temple is dedicated to Thien Hau, the Lady of the... More

I love this temple- visit it every couple of weeks. While it is my favorite in the city, if you happen to arrive at the same time as a bus load of tourists, it totally loses 110% of its charm. If this does happen, I'd suggest explore the neighborhood a bit and come back in 30 minutes.

OK for photographs and defiantly a must visit place when in Saigon. It's quite large and has incense sticks for you to wish and burn

If you like jostling with other tourists, then this is the place to be. There'll be busloads of them. No, it's not that the tourists are noisy, nor rude. I'm just curious to know how those who go there to pray put up with the incessant stream of tourists...

I was brought here by our bicycle tour guide. We purchased an incense coil and had great luck with our 2 week trip to SE Asia. A fantastic old temple in District 5. Beautiful and sacred.
