If you think Ben thanh market is cheap, I'm sorry but they price is quite expensive. if you plan to buy some snacks(peanut, candy, etc), chinese herbs and coffee try visit An Dong Market, its not far from ben thanh market just 15-20minutes taxi ride....More

Ben Thanh Market is opened at night, but it is very overpriced so you should negotiate down to about 25% - 40% of the initial price. An Dong Market and Plaza is much cheaper but it is definitely close at night; I do not know... More
