A 19th century home converted to a modern art museum. This oasis in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City is an art piece in itself. The light and shadows cast from windows, across hallways creates a contemplative mood that one can bask in for...More

For people who are art lovers, you will enjoy this museum! There are a lot of cultural artists that you would only be able to see in Saigon. Beautiful building!

We spent 2 hours at the museum and got to see about 33% of it. It has a good combination of classic and modern art, with beautiful pieces of many kinds. The entry ticket is very cheap, which is also good.

No offense to the other reviewers but this place was absolutely beautiful and needs to be visited by everyone. just to get it out of the way, it's obviously not curated like the MOMA/GOMA or The Louvre or even the NGMA (New Delhi) but if...More

There's 3 separate buildings which comprise the HCMC Fine Arts Museum, housing works from different periods... many of the exhibits are not well curated and dimly lit/unlit, which makes viewing difficult. I found the works from the Revolutionary Period to be the most interesting --...More

Wonderful buildings crying out for a good curator. A whole big room dedicated to the wonders of the party that organize the union responsible for the art. Unfortunately they neglect lighting and the displays are pretty hopeless. Fabulous ticket that only costs 10.000 (.50us)

I found the fine arts museum interesting both in terms of the architecture of the building and the artwork inside. I found a lot of the artwork covering the war to be very striking. Entry is only 10,000d and is well worth checking out.

It didn't cost a lot to get into the museum. Just as well, there's not too much there. The building is beautiful and worth a visit. The collection average. On the ground floor there are some commercial galleries. I did hope that they would be...More

If you like arts then you would like this museum. The building from outside is very old and needs some maintenance. The content inside is very rich. However, the place has no air condition. There is no ramp for wheelchair visitors. You need to climb...More

Stopped in here during our first day in Vietnam, right after visiting Ben Thahn market. Remains one of our favourite museums during our visit. Quite small. But beautiful French styled building, full of gorgeous contemporary art. Cheap admission, so worth a visit.

I think John P is correct: I remember that the museum closes for one hour around lunch time. In case you are there at that time, there are pleasant restaurants close by, from the simple but tasty food stalls inside Ben Thanh... More
