Binh Tay Market is closed for construction, stalls are relocated to nearby containers which are difficult to walk and view shop items. Huge selection of dried goods from fruits to nuts to seafood. (think Chinese China Town). Dangerous to bring toddlers or young kids here,...More

This is the place to go if you want to see a real market used by locals, rather than the tourist markets closer to the city center. The main market building is closed for renovation (apparently through end 2017 or longer). But the market is...More

We bought nuts here and regretted not buying more. It was 1kg for 260,000VND vs 460,000VND somewhere else. For pistachio, cashew and almonds. I also got a pack of dried pineapple for 30,000VND. Impossible anywhere else. My friend bought her kids a set of Minion...More

The market is interesting, many nuts, dried fruits or other traditional (Chinese?) food are found. It is good to visit to know how the local people to trade. However, the place is not very clean, especially it is a rainy day. More troublesome is that,...More

This is predominantly a supply kind of market for locals where items are sold in bulk. It's cramped and dirty, you should go elsewhere if you're looking for clothes or other market items as a visitor to Vietnam.

We were expecting this market to be in its original building but it is currently squeezed into tin sheds across the road and in the perimeter. Incredibly narrow, hot & stuffy and more suited to bulk buys. It too some effort to find it too.

Visited in May 2017. The main market is closed for renovation. However, most of the shops moved to temporary space (containers) and the whole place was hot and stuffy. Be prepared to hear about the pricing and as you walked further in, the price gets...More

At this market you can get many things at reasonable proces. but you have to be sure of bargaining or they quote a high prize and you end up buying it.

All the inside building is closed for renovation. All the shops are in containers outside in the street. Very small place for all the stuff. Only for big retailers. Note: be careful with transportation. Go there it's easy getting back in a Taxi can be...More

The main market is shut for a refurb - currently a temporary structure in the road which is cramped and selling wholesale toys, knock-off goods etc. Doesn't really seem to be somewhere you'd go for a wander around. Apparently pickpockets abound which I can easily...More

U can try Saigon Square but I am sure the prices there a bit marked up already. Me and my friend found some neon colour t-shirts for gals/ladies/women. I bought a lot of sports bras there.
