We took the ferry between Saigon and Vung Tau and it was a nice ride. pretty fast and enjoyable, not a busy boat when we went. Great option instead of a bus and not much more in cost at all.

Smooth, cheap and relatively quick. But beware on the return trip to hcmc. Do not take SAIGON TOUR TAXI (silver color). They have a fast meter and charged me 150,000 dong for a short trip that Grab taxi would do for 40,000 dong (checked it)....More
