A visit to the Imperial City usually means leaving either a coach or car in the Nguyen Hoang Car Parking and then walking to the entrance set into the Noon Gate. On the way one has to take great care crossing the moat and going...More

Give yourself at least 2 hours to tour the city. A fascinating piece of history & well worth a visit. Many buildings were ruined in the war but those restored our well done. Be part of a tour if you can. Very interesting & worthwhile.

The day we visited the Citadel it was scorching hot, there are pockets of shade around though so you can get some respite from the heat, the area was enormous, with a lot of lovely traditional buildings, some were under repair well worth a visit

Beautiful location. Hopped on with a tour and had a good time. We had to make it interesting for our kids, because tours aren't really prepared for that.

You can certainly find an English speaking guide , but I wouldn't use any of the Cyclo drivers, ask at the ticket office and get an official guide. In the citadel itself we saw electric golf buggy type carts, not sure how... More

Hi Kim. I would recommend our guide as she was excellent but I only know her as Tina. We organised all our tours through Mrs Ha at Vietland Discovery Danang.
