Amazing Zen atmosphere and great historical monument set in a tranquil garden - a bit of a car ride but well worth the trip

An old pagoda but you can cover the place in about 20 min. Walk to the back for some pics. This is a monastery with monk staying there so beware not to intrude and keep noise level down.

The site is on the banks of the perfumed river and was built by one of the ancient emporers. It has 7 levels, but now you are unable to enter as it has become unsafe.

Went by boat and returned by car. Boat trip was nice but the Pagoda itself was just another Pagoda. Some history to it but there are better ones to see and enjoy. I was not impressed.

Arrived by Dragon boat on a trip booked through my hotel. The is an air of peace that surrounds this pagoda despite the fact that it has had it's fair share of political demos over the years. I was not aware until I came here...More
