When someone dies we bury or cremate them. The closest generation remembers their contribution, their humanity, their humour. Minh Mang designed his tomb and increased taxes across Vietnam by 30% simply to create a burial site. It is a must see when you visit Hue.

Tomb and tombs one after the other, but you don’t have to climb to each summit. Walk around the side of the lily pond. It is exhausting sightseeing in this humidity, so don’t try and do the four sites in a day.

Hi Roaieana, I suggest you stay 1 - 2 nite in Hue, it has many place to see such as royal tombs (Khai Dinh, Minh Mang, Tu Duc mausoleum), imperial city, Thanh Toan bridge & Thanh Thuy village or take a Dragon boat trip on Perfume river, or go to Thanh Tien village - making paper flower village.
Further more, I should go Hue via Hai Van pass - it's really nice
