A lovely evening relaxing in the old junky boat, admiring the new homes, checking out the river bank life, chickens, ducks etc, & life on the river..

Went along the river to reach the pagoda. It was busy and you could see people worshiping which I thought was a nice thing for someone from another country to see.

Not a great smelling river, but pretty boats. You can better walk to the purple city. It is cheap though, so if you like to go to the pagoda, this can get you there.

Sounds far prettier than in reality! Lots of dragon boats available relatively cheap! If you walk along the river you will be asked if you want one a lot! Nice pathway to Imperial City with a few bars / cafes along the way.

too touristy rather than a means of transport now, the boat is fine, quite basic, and they try very hard to sell tat to you when on board. The perfume river is huge, and its a good way to see it, plus other river life,...More

The boat was a bit rustic but we were well looked after by the crew and guide. Food pretty good too.

At first we saw the river from the higher ground near a pagoda. We were heading to the city and we crossed the Perfume River on a bridge.

Nice view on the river but in the end...it's a river. Will say though that it is much cleaner than the wtaerways in and around HCMC.

There are many tour boats on the river and you need to barter with them to get value for money. You can combine trips to include the Thien Mu Pagoda, several tombs and most will also include lunch. Out on the river there is plenty...More

Hi there - I didn't do the cooking experience so I can't help you I'm afraid - I did notice on all tours and courses that costs vary wildly depending on whether you book it yourself or if you go through a hotel. Have fun! Ben
