We had a dragon boat ride as part of a tour that we were on and I was really looking forward to it. As soon as we boarded we had to sit on these uncomfortable plastic chairs. The boat gets underway and out come all the touristy cheap nick naks and drinks that they try and sell you. After having... More

This looked like a nice trip to do from our hotel window, so we decided to do it. We were pestered by many women and men to go on their boats. It does take the ennoyment away and you feel like not doing it. However we did and I am sure we paid way over the odds, once on board... More

We took a small trouristic boat for an enjoyable tour on the perfume river, that took us to the Tu Dam Pagoda. The boat was operated by a family who tried to sell us some handcrafts, this happens everywhere, but you are not obliged to buy. Just a contribution for the family. The ride was short but we enjyed it... More

We had a wonderful trip on the perfume river. It was very colourful and relaxing and not the least bit touristy. The boat captain also had some great shirts to see for which we bartered. Fabulous trip thoroughly recommended

Our tour company arranged a boat for a river tour to a pagoda about 45 minutes away..boats are an experience ( we had a private). The owners of these boats live on board and will try to sell you all the knick knacks possible as youtry to look at out at the non descript scenery. The odd fisherman and a... More

Had a short boat ride on this river. Nothing much to see that make it stand out. There are dome really nicely decorated boats. Maybe a longer trip would yield something.

My wife, sister and I had a great time traveling on the Perfume River in a dragon boat, secured by our guide Peter. You see temples, bridges, water buffalo etc on the trip. In addition the boat staff have local textiles and jewelry for sale very reasonably priced. Worth a trip.

Many boat tours available (from 1h to half day tour), depending on the sights you wanna include. The river itself, nothing special, but the sights near river a worth to see, so a quite ok transportation possibility.

Nice to walk along the banks of the river with a few street stalls. But tourists get hassled from locals trying to sell their boat tours
