Hue was destroyed after the bombing by US during the Vietnam war. UNESCO is re-building the place back to its glory. The Citadel is testimony of Hue's importance as the capital of Nguyen empire and their might.

They all involve quite a bit of walking & steps! I thought that Khai Dinh Tomb was the most spectacular but there were some steep steps at the entrance. After that there was little walking involved.
