We offer a Half day cooking classes for visitors to Nha Trang at a cost of $24 USD per person. It is a great experience and a must do for someone looking for variety to their trip to Nha Trang and something a little different. It involves travelling to the local market in a cyclo, a guided tour of the marketplace, where people get involved in learning about the local food and buying the ingredients for your meals. You then return to the restaurant where you prepare 3 dishes as chosen by the guests and of course enjoy eating what you have prepared.

Fabulous day spent at the Lanterns cooking class in Nha Trang. The class included a trip to the market to source the ingredients for a 3 course meal of cold rolls, clay pot and flambé fruity desert with coconut ice cream. Delightful. Transport provided by local cyclo. Khanh, our chef demonstrator was delightful, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about Vietnamese cuisine.... More

on the day that I attended the class, there's only two students! The overall experience was good but when the restaurant became busy, the teacher needed to help with the restaurant so she actually didn't devote a lot of time to us.

We did lanterns cooking class and it was great. The experience going to the market place was interesting although a little unnecessary. The food we made was delicious!! Could be a little more efficient and organised whilst making the food (getting set up etc) but worth the money and worth doing!!

I have nothing bad to say about my experience with the Lantern's cooking class. From the beginning to end, both my mom and I were amazed at how well it was put together. First you meet at Lanterns, then go down to a great local market where you're able to get a sense of the local Vietnamese culture. After about... More

I'm not really a cook but my partner and I did the course together and I had so much fun. The trip to the market was mind-blowing and the teacher was so witty and skilful.

This was really fun. You meet up at Lanterns restaurant and pick out what you are going to make. I made spring rolls, a clay chicken pot and pineapple flambe. They you are whisked away on a cyclo to a local market to get your cooking supplies. That in itself is a great experience. Finally you are taken to a... More
