A really interesting sculpture that if you are in the area it’s certainly worth stopping by and checking it out. It’s set I. A gorgeous park with loads of artists selling their painting. A nice escape from the heat.

Look for the statues of Saroyan and Gomidas. I love that the arts are celebrated in Armenia. There are streets to many poets and writers like Sayat Nova....also a statue and Hovhannes Toumanian...the street ends at his museum. The painting on the wall right of the entrance is on the 1000 DRAM bill.

This statue is the "breath" of Yerevan.

Inspired by a movie "Tghamardik" (The Men), this is one of the most favourite sculptures of Armenians.
By the way it's located in Saryan Park, so if you visit it, you will also get a chance to see many beautiful paintings of Armenian artists. And why not, buy one ...

Loved this Quirky Statue

I really liked this quirky statue of the stars of an Armenian TV programne from 1972 called "The Men,"
Cleverly the four characters stand on a cinereel in lively, and I presume typica,l poses. One guy is unwrapping a sweet and they all have a happy rogueish expression.
It's perfectly sited in the same park by the Opera as the artists vernissage.
Well worth stopping by.
