I knew of this church through online research. There are no signs or anything about the church. It is fenced off and the fence is all black and no see through. Its a nice church from the outside. There is outdoor seating for a restaurant in front of the entrance of it.

Tucked into a quiet corner of the busy Nizami shopping street, hidden by trees, you can find this beautiful little stone church. This Church was built in 1869. It saw many ups and downs since then. It became the cathedral of the Armenian Apostolic Diocese of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan in 1920. It somehow managed to survive the Soviet Atheism after the October Revolution. It faced the affects of the conflict over Karabakh, which resulted in the expulsion of the Armenian residents from Baku. Thus the church was closed to public and converted to a library because it no longer has any Armenian worshippers. The bell tower of the church is very elegant.

Remains a gutted shell 30 years after it was burned in December 1989; the cross has been removed from the belfry, now used as a pool hall.
