Very calm & peaceful place. At evening the resident boys gather inside the temple for prayer & their melodious chorus hymn just touches the inner core. Every evening many people gather there for prayer. Passing some time there helps to enrich & freshen soul. The architectural beauty of this temple is worth mentioning. A rickshaw ride to the temple would be a better option as it is situated in old Dhaka; because most of the roads in old Dhaka are very narrow.

Best place for the people of Hindu Religion to celebrate their religious festivals as it's in the just mid of the town. It is Not only open for Hindu Religion rather every one is welcomed here. As a philanthropic, volunteer organisation you can also visit them and have a silent time by yourself.

Swami Vivekananda's modern interpretation of Vedantic Hinduism led to the foundation of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission. This is the mission's flagship in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
A very human, universal, modern, scientific and inclusive form of Hinduism is preached and practiced here. So the traditional form of Hinduism is transformed and given a shape and outlook that can attract and appeal to modern, educated and urban citizens. This is a version of Hinduism that prides in valid traditions and sources of Hinduism without subscribing to controversial practices of caste and occultism.
Swami Vivekananda thus revived the core philosophical paragon of beauty of ancient Hindu Vedantic tradition which can answer any challenges posed by a modern mind.
This modern Hindu Mission is a testimony to the presence of religion-based diversity in Bangladesh. It is indeed a proof of the harmony and mutual coherence between the majority Muslim and Hindu communities in Bangladesh.

The Math was started in 1899 and made a branch in 1914 and the Mission was started in 1916. The religious festivals like Durga Puja, Kali Puja, Nabi Day, Christmas Eve, Buddha Purnima and the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda.are celebrated every year with great enthusiasm and are attended by a large number of people. Ramakrishna Mission and Ramakrishna Ashrama, Jessore, Bangladesh has been declared as the 13th affiliated branch center in Bangladesh by Belur Math, the Headquarters of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, and Swami Jnanaprakashananda Maharaj (Mintu Maharaj) of Dhaka center has been posted as the Head of the centre.

If you're in Dhaka and you want to visit the top religious sites in the city from all major religion, this place comes as a must visit. Although the temple remains close till 4 PM after the morning prayer, it is ideal to go there in the evening and hear the enchantments.
Absolutely recommended if you're in to religious tourism.
