Overview
More
The Flicks Community Movie Theaters are the most unique locations in Phnom Penh where you can enjoy the blockbusters, documentaries and the classics on a big wide screen, in "uber-comfy" air conditioned movie rooms, from before there were big cineplexes. The Big Flicks 1 on Street 95 is the legendary little movie theater from the time there was no other big screen in town, located in an original wooden Cambodian house and features an all air conditioned bar and a leafy outside terrace. Its movie room seats 32 people. The Flicks 2 is its little brother in the city center and also screens the must-see movie for all visitors, The Killing Fields, daily in its 16 seats movie room, located on the 2nd floor of a backpackers hotel. Enjoy your movies for only $3.50 per day, with a drink, snacks and homemade fresh popcorn available at the bars! Welcome home!

Went to see The Killing Fields. Great lounge seats and unique way of seeing the film and great accompaniment to seeing the related Kymer Rouge places. Not too hot when I visited although there was some noise from the next door hostel. For $3.50 you...More

Dear Eric and Sarah, Thank you for your review of The Flicks 2 and the evening you have experienced there. Unfortunately we have no power on what hour neighbors do music wise, but normally they tend not to start before 11pm. Regarding the AC we...More

We went to flicks 1. It was a bit hard to find and we ended up walking quite far to the place because our tuktuk drive didnt know the place. Flicks 2 has a more central location. Nice and relaxing break from the busy Phnom...More

First time to watch in a movie theater on a bed. The place doesn't feel brand new but had a beautifully artistic feel to it. They have a great movie selection and a really positive vibe going on in the place. We had dinner there...More

It was neat to be able to watch the killing fields movie while in cambodia. But, the theatre itself is not particularly clean, and there were many Mosquitos inside, which wasn't great. It was also incredibly uncomfortable.

We just got back from the Flicks 2 and wasn't impressed. Wicker chairs were hard and uncomfortable, but if you put in too many pillows on your back for cushioning, it leaves very little seat space. Taller people in front would block your view. AC...More

We are very thankful for your response and your review on TripAdvisor. The AC was having some issues, until we discovered that ONLY by reviews left on TripAdvisor, which is weird: we have staff right there to help you out with these issues. If you...More

We visited the flicks in the end of June and it was a really nice thing to do. The entrance fee and the snacks were really cheap and the whole atmosphere was relaxing. You can either sit on chairs or, if you are early, lay...More

Pay $3 for a whole day if you want. Large sofas to lie back on, food if you are hungry and air con for relief from the heat. Fantastic!

What an oasis. Comfy seating. Air con. Drinks and snacks served to you. Like having your own private cinema.
