I do didn't hire a guide as I thought the $10 entry was steep enough given that's the same as Killing Fields and S21.
Most of it was closed, but they didn't explain that at the entrance. I spent less than an hour. There really...More
In my opinion, worth the $10 admission fee. Also got a guide for the same price and was happy with that as well. My favorite thing here was the extensive wall murals. Looked like a great story being told. Having the guide helped understanding everything...More
Grounds perfectly manicured and location easy to get arou nd. The King was in residence as his flag was flying. The silver floor of the pagoda was only partly excposed and so we could only see it from a distance. Worth a visit
Beautiful buildings and grounds. The entry fee is $10 and it was an additional $10 for a guide. No shorts and showing off of shoulder are allowed for ladies. Scarf is acceptable to cover up parts of the body before entering the palace. Please take...More
the buildings on this site are amazing. While we were there the King was in residence (you can tell by the flag that's flow if he's in or out) but of course he doesn't come out to greet anyone. The tour we took was about...More
This is an interesting site to visit - a must see on the itinerary. The architecture is gorgeous. There was some parts under renovation, but not enough to disturb the visit. A lot of people go to see the palace but the queues moves quickly.

The usual date is May 13, but if it falls on a weekend they move it. The total time of the celebration is 13 to 15. The palace should be open although some opening times may be altered. The only way to know is to check at the palace itself, unfortunately. I would normally check for you because I live behind the palace, but right now I am visiting Turkey.
