The view from the tower is lovely. It is an experience that involves pushy people getting into the elevator with you and pushy people waiting in line to place hands in the president's hand. But, it's interesting!

Located in the center of a plaza on Nurzhol Bloulevard, the tower is a symbol of Astana. Visitors can get a 360 degree view from the top of the tower. On a clear day, or evening, there are opportunities for some great photos of the Khan Shatyr at one end and the President's Palace at the other end. The entrance... More

The Bayterek Tower dominates the top half of the park, towards the Presidential Palace end. It is cheap to go in, and not that large inside. The view is interesting, but only takes a few minutes to walk round. On the top platform is a gold palm print of the President, where you can put your hand in.

This is a must-see place in Astana. The view includes the presidential palace on one side and the giant tent building on the other with a good view of all the interesting Astana architecture. The Baiterek itself is interesting, but the visit is for the view.

A place you should have visited to get an understanding of new Astana. The round view ist good and gives you an idea of the outline of the city center. Not spectacular, but good. Bayterek is the centerpiece of the view axis between the President's Palace and the arch.

Famous tower with so-so ambience. Inexpensive to go to the top. Views would be much improved if glass was not so opaque. Average coffee shop, poor selections. Popular with native Kazakh's as they can put their own hand in a brass mould of the President.

The "symbol" of Astana. Views from the top are quite good....agree that the windows could do with a scrub. You may or may not be fighting hoards of locals to take a picture with the palm print. I went up around 5 and there was small amount of people. After stopping for a drink...I found myself alone. Coming down around... More

We visited as a couple. Well maintained with excellent view. Could get cold at the top. At places the structure looked unstable but very safe.
