This was a good place to begin my first day in Astana. The presidential palace and other government buildings are fairly new, since KZ became it's own republic following the break up of the Soviet Union.

It's a long walk (starting from Khan Shatyr mall). The boulevard is dotted with kiosks, statues, kids rides etc...many photo ops of architecture, beautiful flowers...very picturesque. And, there's absolutely no litter👍. If you're going to stroll from one end to the other, it will take...More

This park is very beautiful and it is in the centre of Astana. There are a lot of sculptures, monuments, benchs, etc. and around you can see a lot of people walking or eating an ice cream.

this is very long park in middle of new Astana with many places to rest. But you have to cross lot of street to walk from start to end. Not good for handicapped.

This stretch of monuments, shops and gardens is a continuous stream of interesting sights. Impeccably maintained, this is a long walk but worth it, if you have an hour spare.
