Victory Square is a monument that is dedicated to the victory over Nazi Germany in WWII
It has an eternal flame at its centre and the statue of a lady, depicting a Mother waiting for the return of her sons.
At the time of my visit there were colourful flowers planted nearby. The area had a nice vibe. There were some stalls nearby that had games to play, which was particularly nice for children.
There was also a small market within a short walk, that was selling local produce of honey and plants.

The style is very Soviet, but it is quite an impressive site. Good places for photographs and to take a break from walking around. Also it includes the eternal flame and a few other statues around. Worth checking out.

One of those places you will probably visit when in Bishkek, but I thought it's nothing really special. Like the arches though, with the yurt-like top.

Victory square is probably the most impressive square downtown Bishkek. There is the statue of the mother of Kyrgyzstan under the three arches where a fore is always burning. It is commemorating the all those who have fallen through the years for the sake of the country. Great photo shouting opportunities.

Victory Square includes a simple but imposing war monument with an eternal flame. In the centre is a statue of a woman waiting for her husband to return from the war. The square is open and expansive and just nice for a walk around the monument.

THis is a memorial to the WW2 soldiers that gave their lives. There is an eternal flame here, and statue of a woman waiting for her husband to return. Somber memorial, with nice rose gardens all around. At the back is a flower and honey mini market set of stalls. Nice for a short stop.

Bishkek is filled with monuments and memorials, and since the city is not that large, one can do a self guided tour within a day and enjoy the ambiance of the city.
