Bishkek's clock tower is centrally located on Chuy Ave. and Yusup Abdrahmanov Street, and c!ose to Tsum store. Kyrgyzstan architect Askar Isayev designed the blocky Soviet-era building. Soviet-style building which I came across when I had to go to the main post office. On Chuy Avenue, like most central Bishkek sights (east of the main square).

Many people call the tower and the building next to it Soviet-style, but it could easily fit into constructivist town such as Le Havre, for example. Worth a walk westwards along the Chuy street, it's a curious piece of architcture.

This monument is at the center of Bishkek where Chuy meets what used to be called Sovietskaya. The post office is right nearby. Real Soviet style.
