After doing some shooting a few weeks earlier in Vietnam and Cambodia, I wanted to do the same in Laos. I googled it and there was one close by in Vientiane. I got a Tuk Tuk driver to take me there, wait for me and drive me back. I'm staying by the riverside backpacker, tourist area. I paid 120,000 Kip... More

A visit to the shooting range is a good way to spend some time in Vientiane. I was staying close to the National Stadium where the Shooting Federation office is located so popped in and the office staff wrote the address down for me. The Tuk Tuk drivers close to the Stadium corner know where the range is but the... More

I heard this location from my friend and them I searched the location in the internet. Only 2 or 3 websites can describe this location. So U think I just add 1 more and describe the location here: You go to That Luang direction, follow the road until you reach That Luang market. Go straight until you reach a bridge,... More

Good shooting range, it's professional and they don't rush you at all. They give you your own target paper, and you can say for ex. that you only want to shoot 5 bullets with a pistol and 10 with an AK 47. Prices are 200000 kip for 10 Ak bullets and 100000 kip for10 9mm or 11mm bullets.

Laos Shooting Federation One of the only places you can legally shoot a gun or automatic weapon in Asia is either Vietnam or Laos. Cambodia you do it at the Cu Chi Tunnels in Vietnam shoulder to shoulder with other tourists looking to get a story to tell their friends back home. In Vietnam it’s selfie central. I suggest heading... More

If you want to fire a gun at a target, you can. That's about it. It's out of town in a dilapidated building. They offer paint ball but the equipment is so bad that it's a fruitless task trying to play.

To save everyone else the effort. There is no Shooting Range close to the city. We searched for ages, tried to follow all the hints on the internet but the one that used to be in the heart of the city has long since closed. I believe there is one, way out on the outskirts of town but good luck... More

There is no shooting range in the city of Vientiane anymore. The one that's still there is about a 10km tuk tuk ride out of town payed 80000kip to get there. Pros: You get to shoot guns. Cons: it cost 200000kip for 10 bullets and is over in a few minutes. The staff were not overly friendly and wouldn't let... More
