The park isn't really that nice and not a lot goes on except for the night market, but it is a lovely place to sit and watch the sunset over the Mekong. There are all sorts of vendors wandering around offering their services, and we thought the nightly aerobics classes were a hoot :D

Fortunately the Park was just a five minutes bicycle( borrowed ) ride from my hotel( incidentally I booked it on Trip Advisor ) and I totally utilised the opportunity to reach Mekong Riverfront to see Sunset and Sunrise ( on next day morning). Evening was a bit crowded but the vast area of park provide space for all to spend... More

Nothing to see. The infrastructure is very poor. If you want to visit Laos capital do not waste your time and go to Angie Wat or Thailand.

When sun sets over mekong this place is quite a place to stay at. Paragliders flying around, local gyms having excersises and people just enjoying the evening there. Only things I'm quite annoyed are the nail polishers coming to bug you every few minutes. They are really annoying, even tough it is a fun idea of having a maniqure watching... More

Great central location - popular with locals and tourists - cool breeze makes for a comfortable atmosphere - there is a mini- mart across the street BYOB - quaint & safe - gets quiet after midnight as most places do in the city

Many capital cities of the world have an intimate relationship with a river: Paris and the Seine, London and the Thames, Bangkok and the Chao Praya. In Phnom Penh, whatever else you think about that city, that relationship has been enhanced by the development of the Tonle Sap/Mekong riverside walkway. In 2008, the Mekong almost flooded Vientiane. As a result,... More

This was our last stop before going to the bus station to take the sleeper bus going to Luang Prabang. We were lucky enough to have seen the sunset from here. It's super beautiful, I was totally speechless. It's also very interesting because on the other side of the Mekong River is Thailand. We came back here on our last... More

It's nice to walk there. Night market is nearby. Walk up to the bank to have a good good view around.

Night market is HUGE.....the usual tourist/chachka junk. More for locals - cheap stuff. Daytime the river walk is disgusting, maybe because of low river. poorly maintained. Not worth the trip. The Huge statue is interesting.
