Riverside with a statue lit up at night. It is good both day and night but obviously at night time romantic people could be seen more. lol

Facing Mekong River and located near by the presidential palace. This statue is one of the beloved ancient national hero to Lao.

The park is famous for its blocks-long nighttime market which is very lively. There is a long walkway along the banks of the Mekong River and worshipers frequent the statue of Chao Anouvong.

This park was close to our hotel and as we were having a less hectic day we came here for a stroll - sadly it was not that well maintained and lacking shade and places to sit - at the end of a wide walkway...More

I visited coincidentally when I want to visit night market by walk. The road in front of this statue is blocked. So, we can visit this only by walk. There are so many youngster gather here just only for spending the night with their friends

This statue stands out along the skyline as you wander the length of the Mekong river esplenade. When you get near him, you realise that there is a whole park attached with night markets, an evening outdoor exercise class, and some great people watching opportunities.
