We spent about 45 min walking through the museum. Inside it was quite warm and most of the exhibits and photos were faded and in need of repair. There were some interesting things one could learn about Laos history and you could see some ancient...More

Very poor museum. In the 1st floor, there are exhibits of several archaeological sites in Laos. In the 2nd floor, it is a bunch of old photos arranged in a semi-random way that doesn't make sense. I didn't learn much of anything coming out of...More

The cost of this museum was 10,000 Kip, or about $1.25, and is worth it for the price. It is a low tech, basically organized museum with few explanations and no graphics. Some rooms without windows had no electricity so it was impossible to see...More

Don't worry if you missed it. I won't go there twice. But, there is nothing much to see in Vientiane, if you want to kill your time, why not?

the best thing is, there is a real dinosour bone found in Laos here. just nice. haha. but most of the relics here are dated. i think you can find more relics in france about Laos than here.

Interesting exhibitions on the recent history of the country with a focus on the years of the liberation war and the period of the Vietnam war

Worth a visit can be done in about an hour or so and only cost 10,000 kip. Exhibits were great, learnt a lot more about the secret war fought by the Americans in Laos.
