We went up Zaisan Memorial and it was a bit of a climb. We finally made it and the views were the best of UB we had seen. There weren’t too many people there as well and that made for a more enjoyable experience. There...More

Who knew that the Mongols and the Soviets had the sort of relationship that would warrant a memorial that celebrates the friendship between the two countries? On the fringe of the city, the memorial is a moderate walk up to the top if you walk...More

Took a day tour and a visit of the statue was included. It is a Russian/ Mongolian war memorial. Nice attraction.

This was quite the memorial! High up on a hill but not too many stairs at all. Definitely worth seeing, this monument is quite beautiful, unique, and gives some Mongolian history through pictures. We had never seen anything quite like it, and the views over...More

The colorful mural on the inside or the circle was impressive. Good views of the city make it enjoyable, especially for history buffs.

A short stop for a photo while you pass by. Not worth a stand alone trip. Should be a part of a drive through Ulanbataar

An interesting monument to thank the Russians for their help in the second world war. You also get some quite good views of the city from here as it is so high up.

Yes, take a bus #7 or any bus destination says to Zaisan then hop on it. Fee is 500mnt which 25 cents. Other option is walking to there is 20minutes from downtown.
