This concept store is the result of hard work, dedication and collaboration. The products are all produced locally, often in collaboration with artisans. The items are reaching contemporary aesthetics and the staff is well trained and friendly. I had to return a shirt and didn't have any problems at all. The diverse range will suit many styles and budgets. Highly recommend buying your sustainable souvenirs here.

I’ve been to Sri Lanka several times and have always been wonderfully surprised by the amazing shops. This trip we came across Urban Island in Colombo. It’s been open for a year. It sells clothing designed by students at a design school. It’s amazing. These are very talented designers. Just amazing. This may sound hokie, but I could see Meghan Markle wearing many of the designs. They are lovely, unique, mostly cotton, high-end designs that will fit you. And they sell Moose jeans - skinny jeans that are massed produced in Sri Lanka in all sorts of colours - less than $10 each! But Moose jeans is only a fun side line for the shop. The originally-designed clothing rivals anything you’ll find in North America and in Europe. A very happy discovery!

We walked in for a quick look and were pleasantly surprised by the calming ambience and the number of things we wanted to take home. Definitely a go-to for more sustainable and organic products in Sri Lanka. We ended up purchasing their moonshadow petroleum jelly free lipbalm, anti frizz hairspray and cocoa and lemon body scrub. Would recommend visiting again.

We were recommended to go here, and saw many bags from here in the Hotel (Galle Face). We just loved this store and all focused on local products from Homewares to clothes and books. Little coffee area as you walk in too. The team there were so very friendly. The products were reasonably priced. Parking in the front if needed. Worth a visit without doubt. thanks.

Discover pure inspiration and magic in this place. Local designers and their unique wares of contemporary and worldly Sri Lankan style. One of the best places in town to pick your interior decorations. Very very quaint and super reasonably priced store. You could browse for hours and not get bored. Great designer outlet for home products, gourmet food and fashion. A must visit for interesting ideas on home and interiors. A Good place to pick up small gifts if you are looking beyond the regular Sri Lanka souvenirs. Staff is very helpful, not intrusive. Cafe kumbuk is on the ground level for a quick bite, and coffee. Support local designers!!
