Worth visiting. There is a large range of hand made/woven items for the home - tablecloths, place mats, cushion covers, sarongs and so much more. Your purchase helps to support village people who make the goods. There is also a cafe in the courtyard serving very nice snacks and meals.

We had two really great lunches here. The first lunch highlights would include the black pork curry form the chalk written lunch board and the fresh juices. The homemade bread is excellent. Great coffee after. Dessert looked very good, but we managed to resist it. Our return visit was also really nice. The courtyard is really nice with the pond and all. Tree growing through the roof. So, the second lunch highlights. Juices again. Great chicken sandwich on homemade cheese bread. A good beef sandwich also. We did order a couple of appetisers that arrived after the mains. It was getting busy and stayed that way. Be prepared to wait a bit. The Chinese beef ‘spring rolls’ and dips were good, but before the mains would have been better. Not a big deal. But still. Nice coffee again. It’s a great place to browse around after eats as well. Some beautiful crafts. We will be going back.

Barefoot has been about for a long time now but it is still as good as ever. Their homemade ginger beer is wonderful. New toilets are an improvement . 👍

Thank you - yes, we have been around a while. Delighted that you enjoy the new toilets - light, airy and so much bigger. Do consider trying the 'Narang' juice the next time you visit. We think that is upto standard.

Local does sum up most of what we do. Thank you. We do have a bookshop with books from around the world. Not so many souvenirs but lots of goodies for your home, and a collection of our clothing too. In the courtyard, do remember to enjoy the gallery and the cafe. Yes, people are surprised to find our courtyard and garden btucked away behind a small facade on the Galle Road. Thanks so much,
