Good Market is a curated platform for social enterprises and responsible businesses. Each of the participating vendors has gone through an application and review process and has a public profile on the Good Market community platform that explains how they benefit people or the planet. There are now more than 900 enterprises involved. The Saturday event in Colombo is one small part of a much larger movement. The majority of Good Market enterprises (and the team members that coordinate the event) are from outside of Colombo. There are small-scale organic farmers, rural artisans, volunteer networks, fair trade organizations, and entrepreneurs working on social and environmental issues in their own communities. They are grateful for the Colombo residents who come out every week and show their support. In our experience, this is a big part of the "real Sri Lanka." The country consistently ranks in the top ten in the Global Giving Index because people of all social and economic backgrounds choose to volunteer their time, contribute to people in need, and support social and environmental initiatives.

The Saturday Good Market is only open from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturdays at the Colombo Racecourse in Colombo 7. Between 65 and 85 organic farmers, social enterprises, and responsible businesses participate each week. From 2012 to 2015, there was a Good Market event at Diyatha Uyana in Battaramulla.
