A very nice museum. Lots of Buddha statues, paintings, the history of Sri Lanka. Nice a clean. Very interesting.

Well worth visiting. This impressive museum was established 130 years ago and contains a comprehensive collection of artifacts that tells the story of Sri Lanka from prehistoric times until the conquest by the British. Lots of well-written information boards provide plenty of explanation.
