Great place to understand the culture of Uzbekistan. You can spend a few hours admiring the beautiful artworks such as handmade embroidery, skull-caps (tyubeteyka), jewelry, carpets, woodwork etc.

The museum offers a reasonable insight into the rich history of Uzbekistan. A must visit for history buffs. Its walking distance from the city centre.

Yes, lovely building and easy to wander round. Just 10,000 for 'citizens of far away countries' There is a display of art work and local tapestries but the detail in the building is the real highlight. Cafe only serves drinks

The building was once i-the property of a Russian diplomat at Szaristic times and donated to the city of Samarkand. Nowadays its the home of traditional crafts like weaving, pottery and porcelain, woodwork, forging and armory. Very interesting and educational.
