The views are nice, but the inside of the madrasah is small. There is a small ticket price. Also, the shop upstairs is nice and the craftsman sells his handmade goods.

Built in 1569 by sultans Barak Khan and Dervish Khan. This historical monument is the largest of the 23 madrassas of old Tashkent and has a traditional architectural design. Still serves as a Koran School for future Imams today.

When you start your journey from Tashkent, it looks very good to witness a different world altogether. This is a nicely maintained madrasa where live calligraphy can be seen. Courtyard is beautiful with well maintained garden. Most of the room are closed, but the care takers are very pleasant and friendly.

beware this old religious school is functioning again so you can only visit from outside, yet it was beside the old bazaar so we did not have to go out of way to visit

The Kukeldash Madrasah is not the best mosque in Uzbekistan (though given its challengers, there is no shame in being unable to achieve that title) but it’s a very beautiful complex and is incredibly serene inside. Despite being right next to a main road, stepping into the complex (where the gardens are) feels like stepping out of the city altogether, and is an incredibly charming experience. Being next to Chorsu Bazaar, I’d recommend making a trip out to see these sites together.

This lovely medieval madrasah is just near the Chorsu Market. It is one of the few buildings that survived the 1966 earthquake.

Peaceful courtyard and a glimpse of Tashkent's past. The staff were very friendly and eager to talk about the history of this building.

While visiting the Chorsu Bazaar, we stopped by here. There is an Entrance Fee even to go into the Courtyard. It is located next to the Dzhuma Mosque.
