Some things don't change so much! Istanbul is exploding in development but that old part is rather preserved… and still rather safe. With the small streets, cafes, and restaurants, one can still enjoy the quiet and relaxing stroll around.

There's lots of history in Istanbul as you probably already know. The city itself is absolutely huge and not the most friendly for walking. Streets are narrow and drivers overly aggressive. Most tours are far from cheap so expect to spend a lot for anything...More

The historic area in istanbul you can find it in sultan ahmmt soo if you go to see the historic area try to find a good hotel in the sultan ahmmt all the historic area you can visit it by walking

If you look for night life in Istanbul, I suggest you to consider to go to Istikal Caddesi & Taksim Meydani. You also con check with your hotel concierge or receptionist for the related information.

I'm not use to rent a travel guide but it can work if you have not mena time, I always recomend at the end of your visit to count: visit to most three popular monument at least, take a dinner and lunch in a local place... More
