Bursa was a former capital of the Ottoman Empire. Highly recommend booking a day tour from a reputable tour agency that can bring you there. For more interesting places in Busra, a two-day trip will be better. Bursa is known for its mosques and historical sites from the early Ottoman Empire. It's nicknamed "Yeşil Bursa" or Green Bursa, owing to... More

If the weather is sunny, you may enjoy the small seaside village Trilye. The houses are very beatiful. Drinking Turkish coffee while watching the sea view would be relaxing and charming.

We loved Bursa and the public telefrek ride in Bursa. What we didn't like was the tour company busing us in and out of bazaars with over priced poor quality products. We stopped the bus 4 times to be shuttled into theses business that wouldn't have any business if it wasn't for the buses. I'd be wary of these bazaars... More

Nice trip by bus and ferry to Yalova then bus and cable car to the middle of Uludag mountain. The Bus took us to second stage then another cable car (or renting bikes) to the very top with the nicest view. We got down by bus and stopped to eat lunch. Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
