This river separates the old and new sections of Istanbul. The commercial center of the city for 2000 years, many markets and the Chamber of Commerce still line its shores today.

Eminonu is the main ferry hub. It also has a tram station. The ferries go to the asian side at short intervals. The spice market is also located closeby.

This is a beautiful strait of the Bosphorus in Istanbul. Despite the catchy name, we found no reference to the origin of the name.

The various neighborhoods that make up the "Golden Horn" really give a visitor a flavor of Istanbul. It feels very old European more so than Middle Eastern- get lost, enjoy yourself, and wander.
