As others stated the museum is at the Anatolian Side of Istanbul, at a residential area. We went by car, has a small parking lot, also possible to park at the streets around. A toy museum sounds more attractive to children but we have a 3.5 years ol daughter, unfortunately she didn't enjoy it as much as we hoped. Not... More

you can find every toy coming from past based on different countries and you just let the place take you to the past as if you are in a kind of time machine. every toy has a story, so you ll see what i mean.

It was opened in 2005 by collector, writer, poet Sunay Akin when he decided to open a museum displaying toys from all over the world. Some even go back to the 18th century, but most of the ones... Toy museum is a good goal in the eastern part of istanbul. You can see detailed dollhouses made by hands of toy shoppers years ago. You can see cruel toys of the period of second world war in one room, Toys of the star wars period in another room and... Each room and its theme tells a part of history... More

This museum is not only an attraction for children but also for the grown-ups. One can take a deep dive into childhood memories. The funny part is that children want to but each and every toy available over there. And for that, the parents do face a tough time there. However, it is still worth a visit.

And he wasn't the only one. The grown-ups can remember their childhood toys. My son wanted to buy everything. Also the setting is nice. They reconstructed, for instance, a train car. Toys are from various times up to 1990-2000.

This museum is in a yali house with its three floors. Not only for children, we really enjoyed it too as whole family. They collected toys not only from Turkey but all around the world. A good 2 hours can be spent in here.
