There's a wee cafe at the top of the hill where we sat overlooking the city, a lovely relaxing place that can become quite busy but it's a must see. The staff were really helpful there's a cable car to take you down to the main road that runs alongside the river where you can catch a tram or taxi... More

although not easy to reach, it's one of the best and must visit places in İstanbul. The view is incredibly amazing, especially during nice and clear weather. Highly recommend you to have a cup of Turkish coffee while enjoying the view. You may see many lovers enjoying the romantic view :)

Close to Sultan Ayup area (walking distance), ride the cable cars to the top and enjoy the views, its a short ride but worth it, the whole area is surrounded by a cemetery so be sure to be comfortable by that.

First of all there is no ticketing system at all a small sign says to purchase ticket from machine and the queue is very long and the cable cart journey is very short. However the view is amazing

The machine where you buy the ticket for the cable car is very confusing. You can buy only 1 card then top it up and use. We paid 10 TKL and got a card and enough credit for 3 people to use the cable car. Unfortunately there are no instructions in English which would make so much easier for many... More

The house of the famous Pierre Loti, on a very nice hill, it can be reach by teleferic or by car, the view is amazing but the coffee shop and the other small shops are very expensive (unreasonable)

Nothing special. The hill has a beautiful view, which is just as good as the view you can enjoy from many other hills and parks scattered around the city

Pierre Loti was a French naval officer and orientalist who lent his name to a rather modest cafe. The cafe is not spectacular, but the view over the Golden Horn is. It;s a favourite day out for the people of Istanbul. It's a bit out of the way. It would be a half-day trip. You can also take the cable... More
