Tuncer Gift Shop is located in Sultanahmet since 2000s. At the beginning, we started working just on the street and just with one person who is our founder. After a while we expanded our job and we opened first showroom in 2008. When we came to 2012, we have five showrooms in Istanbul and nearly 15 team members. We believe that customers are special; so we made each showroom special by itself. We have two showrooms for ceramics, one shop for special home textile and carpets and one showroom is just for selling jewellery. Our products are also special only for our showrooms and you cannot find the same product in any other shops.

Friendly and attentive, good selections and good advice too. They have nice collections of Turkish lamps, ceramics stuff, fabrics as well as small Turkish souvenir items. Located at a less busy/chaotic side of Old Town, near Guhane Park. A minute away from Tram station, nearby Doubltree by Hilton Sirkeci.

I first visited these shops in 2015 on our first visit to Istanbul. We stay at the Sirkechi Hotel, which is on a short block across from Gulhane Gardens. After we arrived this year I went window shopping and was immediately welcomed by the shopkeeper who clearly remembered me from the previous year. Quite surprising. Istanbul was jam-packed with tourists... More

Just about a yr ago we found this delightful shop. We felt comfortable and safe from being taken advantage of. We were on a limited budget and we never felt we weren't good enough.. We were encouraged to take our chosen lights as hand luggage to keep our costs down and today we finally got our lights hung.. We are... More

This shop was around the corner from our hotel and we found the staff to be friendly, experienced and very helpful. The merchandise offered was of a high standard and a great variety of authentic Turkish items were available. My friend and I bought several ceramic items and had them shipped to country Western Australia. The shipping was very expensive... More

Bought several items which they packaged very well and they arranged the shipping to the states. The shipping cost are not cheap, but still worth it as the package arrived in 3 days without any breakage.

A talkative, friendly and honest shop owner who gave us a wonderful shopping experience. She is also very kind and gave us a small traditional Turkish present. This shop is worth to the people who is seeking a special and beautiful gift. Do not miss this shop.

We visited this store and was well taken care of. I actually could not have ever imagined the type of treatment we received. We took a couple hours to pick out a chandelier and the shop owner spent a great deal of time and patience helping us decide without putting pressure on us to just pick. They were extremely welcoming... More

We have been coming over and over again each time we're in Istanbul since buying a great leather messenger bag, because of the variety of nice quality products and souvenirs and the hospitality of the people running this shop. There are many things which one might find appealing such as ceramics, lamps, tiles with intricate designs etc. I bet we... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
