Circle Istanbul is a 360° look at the world’s most complex city, seen from the sidewalks, cafes, hilltops, and doorsteps. Expect to spend your day away from the tour buses, museums, crowds and souvenir shops - we'd rather show you the ENTIRE city as the locals see it! Allow us to present our Istanbul, the real Istanbul.

We did two tours a few days apart- The Circle Istanbut tour- and the Old City walking tour, with Ozcan on day one and Polat on day two. We can't say enough about how great it was to see the city this way. Our Circle tour took us to probably six neighborhoods, by taxi, ferry and on foot. We had... More

We did 2 tours the old city walking tour and circle Istanbul with Polat and Ozcan! Both were fantastic, friendly and very knowledgeable! A great way to skip the queues and see such a varied view of Istanbul! Would highly recommended booking with these guys and seeing this amazing city for yourself!

Circle is not like any other tour I've been on. Rather than being hit with a tirade of facts and things to look at, Oz made the tour feel like we were a group of friends exploring the city together (granted, Oz had an encyclopaedic knowledge of the city, it's history, it's politics, it's religion...) Interesting, informative, laid back and... More

This was an amazing your, the best we had on our two week trip. Polat was a great guide, very friendly and willing to personalize the tour to the groups interests. All of the stops were great, he gave us the perfect amount of history and interesting info. He clearly knows Istanbul well, as he could answer questions about things... More

We had a truly wonderful private day long tour of Istanbul with Ozcan Davascan. He was booked for us through our tour company (Medhills). He is extremely knowledgable, listens to what your provide in terms of guidance for the things you care about most, is very patient, is flexible with the itinerary, and really enjoys his work. It is very... More

I have only 1 day so I check the TA reviews. I select Circle Istanbul and the Old City tour, 0505 455 5164 is the local cell number and get to the meeting place 10 minutes early for my 8 hour tour. My guide is also 10 min early and his name is Polat. He could not have been a... More

This was an excursion unlike any other we have experienced in other cities. We were able to see the local community and how they live and experience life in a city that is one of the largest in the world. Our guide, Polit had us visit places we would not have seen otherwise, receiving a full measure of the culture... More

We had never visited Istanbul before so decided to do the "Classic Istanbul tour" with our 2 young teens in tow. Ozcan Davascan was our guide for the day. He had a wealth of knowledge and interesting stories that really helped make each attraction come alive. I don't believe there was one question we had which he didn't know the... More

We had such a fantastic day touring the city with Polat last week. As people who love a local experience, after reading the reviews on trip advisor, we knew we had to take this tour. We started with a delicious Turkish breakfast and then set off. We took the ferry to the Asia side of Istanbul where we had a... More

After much deliberation I booked the Circle Istanbul tour after seeing what seemed like every attraction in Istanbul...after all, what more could they show me? I'll tell you the answer - Polat our guide showed us the "real" city! It was a fluid day guided by the wishes and interests of our small group which took us through local markets,... More

Staying in Sisli

Neighbourhood Profile
Sisli
For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.
