This is the Boarding point for the Bosphorous. don't miss on of the dozens of turistic cruises. Cheap and great opportunity to have a overview of Istanbul by the sea. Don;t miss the Sice market nearby and all the samll restaurants. Walking distance to Galata Tower

I was looking for this place for long time, typical local simple fish boat that serves the famous fish sandwich... sooo tasty and delicious.. you will find small wooden chairs and you can enjoy the sea view.. every time I travel to Istanbul i have to eat there for 2 time minimum.

This area is historic and it is too crowded. The pier had so many fish boat restaurants, very popular with locals and tourist.

I wasn't sure about it but I tried the fish rolls and it was awesome. So fresh I had no concerns of eating it. Sit at the tables, add some lemon juice, salt if you need it and enjoy.

At the eminonu pier, you see the local Turks enjoying fish sandwiches, Simit and and dondurma while waiting for their boat tour to start. Huge piers take you on a tour to the gorgeous districts of Istanbul passing by Dolmabahce palace, the egyptian embassy, Fatih, Balat, Galata , etc. Breathtaking experience !

We went to Eminonu Pier, by chance, in our way to the grand bazaar. We decided to stop and watch sunset on the pier. But, alas the smell of fish was so intense we had to flee immediately. Probably the smell wont be so intense at other times,
