I didn't plan to take a carpet back, but I did so in the end. The hostess of my guesthouse asked me if I wanted to take a look at some carpets, I said yes, and he took me to Osman. Osman has a wide collection of carpet and he was very patient to introduce carpets of different styles, woven... More

I need the email or phone number, unfortunately I lost them and I want to get another gorgeous rug from Osman. He was so nice and kind , we had a great time at his store , we talked and laughed over a exquisite cup of tea

Just being in this shop was calming and interesting, unlike so many high pressured sale situations. The Osman and his assistants were friendly and hospitable, even on the visits when I wasn't in the market for the higher priced items. The carpets are so beautiful and the stories about them enjoyable, making it easy to go ahead and purchase some... More

Thanks to Trip Advisor we found Sultan Carpets.Osman has a great knowledge of carpets & the background of carpet weaving. We bought 5 carpets from him & all of them are unique pieces. He gave a great price and also shipped it to Bangalore for us with no extra charges. Although the courier company did pose some issues but Osman held our... More

We came upon this shop quite accidentally after visiting St John's Basilica and enjoyed talking with Osman & Mehmet who have a very nice low key approach. We weren't sure about shipping and customs into NZ so said we would come back the next day which again they were very relaxed about. The carpet and kilim selection was amazing with... More

We had a fantastic experience at Sultan Carpet during our trip and ended up leaving with two beautiful carpets. We've been through a number of carpet shops throughout Turkey, and unlike other dealers (including others in Selcuk), Osman didn't open with a completely outrageous price to make you feel better about the final price. He has a great selection of... More

My husband and I recently came to selcuk with the sole purpose of buying a carpet. We stopped into osman's place first and thankfully it ended up being the last. We went to a few others and were horrified at the cost, the pushy lying salesmen and the fact that many of these carpet salesmen were making us so uncomfortable... More

We met Osman while staying at Homero's Pension and Guesthouse. After visiting his shop (with our friends who know a little about Turkish carpets) we decided to seriously consider buying at least one! We visited and looked them over one afternoon. He was not pushy but extremely knowledgeable and very nice as we took our time and he explained where... More

Osman is the most charming, engaging fair, fun merchant we have met in all of Turkey. If you want reasonably priced, one-of-a-kind kilims this is definitely the place to go. We look forward to our next visit.

We met Osman at the Homeros Pension and formed an instant bond. We had such fun choosing three rugs for our home and, two years later, they are still prized possessions. Completely recommend the experience as well as the rugs.
