This is the birthplace of Jesus Christ! It took a while to file in through a long line, but it was worth it. There have been many changes over the centuries but this is still The Place.

The Church of Nativity in Bethlehem tells the story of the birth of Jesus. The first church on the birthplace of Jesus was built in the 4th century. It has been destroyed and rebuilt several times, but what we see today is a remarkable church...More

Very interesting to see and be part of a mixing of cultures coming to visit Jesus birthplace. The simplicity of the caves on one hand and the overwhelmed decoration of the church in the other, is a big contrast.

Walked to the Church of the Nativity from the Alexander Hotel via Star street. Great flavor of the old town along the way. Several denominations enshrine the cave where Christ was born. Amazing history in this place.

It's under reinvention, so the place is just a mess at the moment. Beyond that, it's clear that this was something done after the fact. We have no real evidence this is where Jesus was born, but if you are one of the 'faithful,' I'm...More

Good to visit if you have the time. Lots of history in it. The tour guide was able to give us a lot of information on that history behind it.

Unique just to cross the check point. I recommend to visit with a professional guide. The nativity church is worth to visit and grotto milk also 5 min away by walk.
