The same ol' bridge

Nothing has changed- it's the same bridge that it's always been. It's purpose is to get people from one side to the other.

An artificial lagoon was built and this bridge connects the Eilat promenade and the hotels promenade. It is opened when a big boat is passing underneath . Every visitor crosses it some times a day walking on the Eilat beach .

It;s a bridge that connects the main promenade to the hotel prom. It can open to let boats with a mast through. There are some eating places under the bridge

This is a walkway over a canal type stream into the extension of water at the north beach. It has a drawbridge mechanism to allow large sails to pass. It's a walkway for getting from the large hotels into the very commercial area of various stands and stalls of hawkers selling their wares. It's a practical walking conveyance, and not... More

With shops, restaurants and bars. It´s nice to walk around a bit, but that´s it. Don´t expect more than that!

I really disliked Eilat. I was much happier just crossing the Arava border into Jordan. Aqaba is much more beautiful and authentic. Jordan is much more hospitable and cheaper than Israel. The visa is free to enter Jordan from Arava. The food is wonderful and so are the people. I enjoyed it so much more.

When we last visited Eilat this bridge was a much busier place than now, don't know what's happened to all the previous atmosphere and life, it has lost its buzz and has become a much quieter place to simply walk along. Previously it was different in feel. It's still pleasant.

In previous years the harbor bridge was lined with market kiosks and this year when I took a short trip to Eilat I was curious to see the bridge clear of tourist "produce" but now it is an easy quiet pleasant walk along the waterfront seeing all the shops on one side and the water on the other. There is... More

We walked across Harbour Bridge several times during our 3-day stay in Eilat. Nothing about it would qualify as a tourist attraction. It's a bridge connecting the older side of the beach tourist district to the newer side. It appears to be a drawbridge, but we didn't see it go up. It's high enough for most sizes of personal watercraft... More
