Picturesque, but in June there was no water. Saar river goes to Banias - another amazing place in Golan Heights. Thanks to the springs and water from the glacier (Hermon mountain) all valleys and mountains are green. It was like in paradise!

Last Saturday (Jan 5th, 2019) was a nice day after several rainy days and the fall is running! It is a short walk from the road accessible to all. Nice locations for pictures. There is a cyclic path over the main fall and next to the short one. The path takes no more than 15 minutes. Avoid buying from the local stands as they are over priced.

Towards the end of a good rainy season, the highest waterfall in Israel is at its best. The area is green and full of flowers. Enjoy

On our way from mount Hermon we took a small stop along the road to see the waterfall and to eat something..
Nothing really special but a great way to relax a little bit and take a pictures on the nature..

Although we came tro visit here about 10 days after rain- the Saar falls were completely dry. It is a dry winter and we had no luck this time (see attached photo). It's worth a stop on the way.

this fall is dry most of the year but in the rainy season and specially - during rain and couple of days after it is lovely. It will be nice also when the snow melts from Mount Hermon

Beautiful spot on the way from Caesarea Philippi to Mt. Hermon. The water was very muddy the day we were there, but there was lots of water. The flowers are pretty. It just a nice little area to stop and walk for a bit. Pretty!

Great hike. So many wildflowers!!
The whole walk takes a couple of hours. Some minor rocks to navigate.

In spite of the rainy winter this year, the waterfall is now (mid-May) completely dry. Wait for next year.

This nature area is actually in the Golan Heights (and not in the Galilee). The green all around and the water falls, which are quite easily accessed, are worth a visit. You can find many angles to take photographs at this attraction.
