Menachem Begin was about five foot two inches. What he didn't have in height, he made up in statesmanship, spirituality and spunkiness. The museum gives you the history of Israel under this unusual prime minister. I would see it several times. Goid gift shop, too.

Amazing in-depth overview of Menachem Begin's life, from childhood through serving as Israel Prime Minister. Extremely well-done. The guide accompanying us in the museum spoke English fluently and was able to answer questions on his life. Highly recommend this museum to anyone interested in the modern history of Israel.

A great museum with easy to understand displays which also mirror the history of the State of Israel. From the opposition to the Prime Minister's Office the journey of one of Israel's beloved leaders will inspire.

I was delighted by my visit to the Menachem Begin Heritage Centre. It opens with an introduction to Begin's life with a powerful presentation on his childhood, the Shoah and fate of his family. The Mandate era material reflects his attitudes and experience, only hinting at the tensions between the Palmach, Irgun and Stern Gang etc. Begin's powerful persona does... More

The chef and Maitre D' of Terasa (food/restaurant) venue at Begin Centre is fantastic. The staff were amazing and very helpful. The food was delicious and they went out of their way to help us make my grandson's barmitzvah a well-organised and happy simcha. For our purposes, the reception was 2-3 hours. Not sure what would be a good length... More

The fascinating history of one of israel's great leaders. The story is well told and the movie clips make it easy to follow. If you're on an English tour make sure that the earphones work before the tour starts. We has some issues with ours

A great place. Nicely done with actual artifacts from begins life. No matter what you felt about him it's a great presentation of his life and upbringing.

1) This museum is "by appointment only" which means you have to go with a guide. You can buy tickets online or just call the office (we did it day of) to find out the times of the tours and put your names down. 2) The museum is very structured (because they probably have a lot of tours coming through... According to the centre it seems Begin is the reason the country of Isreal exists. The phatos is a bit too much at times.Still the exhibition is varied and interactive.Worth a visit if you want to get some insight on the persona and the history of the country.

Like the Palmach Museum in Tel Aviv, the Begin Heritage Center offers an excellent hourly presentation which successfully combines the documentary, interactive, and museum elements. But if the former demonstrates how it was hard to make Israel be born again - and what cost it took, the latter shows that it is even more - tragically! - harder to justly... More
