It is a pretty big market with a lot of tourists, overpriced products and beggars. The place is overcrowded and not really different from any market in Israel. Save your time.

Fascinating place to go during the day...and different at night (hopping on Thursdays!), as foodies have discovered its new and wonderful bars and restaurants. Don't miss a trip to the Mahane Yehuda Market if visiting Jerusalem!

This is a good place to experience the culture. Must visit on your stay here in Jerusalem. There are a few hookah bars that are good if that is what you are looking for.
