I was in Jerusalem for two weeks and during the first week, it was the 50th anniversary of the 6th day war, Trump visited, and Ramadan began--all of which created wonderful chaos. First, I took the Abraham 4 hour paid tour for an overview. Then I downloaded an app called Audio Tours of Jerusalem and went back for several days... More

Loved going to the Old City. Comfortable walking shoes are a must. You will walk and walk and it's very hilly. Felt very safe there. There are plenty of police or security there, so never a worry. There are lots of shopkeepers along the Via DelaRosa, so be prepared. We found mostly everyone being friendly, and not pushy. We politely said... More

The Old City is one vast bazaar with synagogues, yeshivas, mosques and churches jammed in. There are hundreds of small shops selling all kinds of goods, but mostly tourist gewgaws. It can get pretty crowded as tourist groups come sweeping by trying to keep up with their guides. Get a map from your hotel to guide you.

What a great day we had in the Old City of Jerusalem, visiting the Wailing Wall, following the steps that Jesus carried the cross, was an experience like no other that we have ever had. Must visit to appreciate it.

The sheer timelessness of Jerusalem, the traditional Capital of the Jewish people, is striking and eerily familiar at the same time. It's everything the travel guides describe, yet Universally spiritual.... as evidenced by the wide range of religious adherents who flock to this ancient city

Jerusalem is the most remarkable city in the world. It is a truly "fractal" city, parts within parts, divisions broken by differences. Human beings, divided in peoples share without meeting, meet without sharing and yet seem to have more in common than they dare to admit. Humanity at its worst and it's best. This is "the image of God" but... More

We visited as a group on a spiritual tour and I must say the old city is amazing. So much history behind the narrow market streets. I felt transported back in time while walking the paths which Jesus did. We visited the Western wall, garden of gethsemane at the foot of the mount of olives, walked the stations of the... More

Even though, you may not have anything to do with religions, this would educate you on and about it. All of those 3 monotheistic religions artifact and important indicator are all together. The Western Wall, the Christ tomb, Al Aqsa Masque and many more. Knowing the King David was watching around from his chamber or balcony and ruling the rest,... More

I did not know what to expect when coming to Old Jerusalem. Wow, to see 4 cultures, all living amongst each other with no rif raf is so beautiful. How preserved everything is and how people take care of their city, it's so beautiful to see. There are alot of street vendors all selling pretty much the same merchandise. I... More
