This place is a must to stop when you are visiting Jerusalem. It will give you a fantastic view of the city. Don't forget to bring your camera for great view pictures & selfie. There was a camel ride for $10-15. It's free to visit.

Great place to stop for photos and see some of the landmarks of the Old City of Jerusalem from afar. The Garden of Gethsemane is a short drive or a little bit of a longer walk away from the main look out point on the mount.

Shared with hundreds of others, this viewing platform up on MOunt of Olives affords a great view of the old city. It is reasonably easy to find of you're driving/walking yourself and is also quite adjacent to the Garden of Gethsemane.

It's definitely worth it to have a guide or be a part of a tour to get a better understanding of exactly what you're looking at. The views of Jerusalem are STUNNING. You can walk back to the Old City, but it's a small hike. If the weather is good and your feet can manage, save yourself the 50-60 shekels... More

Mount Olives is an old Jewish cemetery located outside the old city walls. We happen to have relatives buried there. This is a beautiful well kept, above ground cemetery. This is where you get a breathtaking panoramic view of Jerusalem. On clear days you see forever. Beautiful sight.

I walked up the Mount of Olives from the Old City in the morning. On the way, I was able to stop and see several churches including the Church of All Nations at the Garden of Gethsemane. Wear good shoes, bring a hat, and bring along some water and enjoy the views of the old city. There are a few... More

I walked to the top from The Lions Gate entrance to the Old City. A very tough walk but very much worth it.

Although there are incredible sights and places of historical and biblical significance in Jerusalem, the Mount of Olives was quite a disappointment. You must be careful walking it alone and stay with your group or a reliable guide. Would I go back? Absolutely! This is one journey I plan to travel again.

Mount of Olives is a Jewish cemetery located outside the old city walls. It provides a breathtaking panoramic view of Jerusalem - on a clear day, you literally can see forever. We got there early so that the sun was not beating down on the dome of the rock. Navigating the site and trying to avoid the many long lines... More

If you want to visit the Mount of Olives, and you prefer to do it alone, just take a cab to 'Pater Noster' church, which is on upper part of the Mount. Next to it stands 'Chapel of the Ascension'. Taking by foot the road down and through Jewish Cemetery, you can visit 'Dominus Flevit' church, then church of 'Mary... More
