There can be no confirmation that this is the tomb of Jesus because a body was never found, but our guide was very clear with the facts and put together the defense of why this is the garden tomb. We celebrated communion together as group...More

We walked all around the Mount of Olives. While I know some of it has changed, I also believe I was seeing some things the way that Jesus saw them.

Once upon a time this place or the mountain slope was covered with Olive trees and hence the name. But since the last 3000 years or so it's a Jewish cemetery. However, the place is significant as it is believed that Christ rose to heaven from here and...More

This is the best place to have a full view on Jesrusalem Old City, the Walls and the Golden Mosque. Besides, in few minutes it's possible to reach Gethsemane with all its historical landmarks. A must-see!

My first view of Jerusalem, awe inspiring! The history on display is incredible! Fortunately we had a very good guide that put the location into context.

We did an afternoon tour starting at the top of the Mount of Olives and working our way down. For Christians there is so much to see, with the highlight being the Garden of Gethsemane. The view across the city are fantastic.

Well worth the very long climb to the top. The view over the old city is outstanding and the olive trees are ancient and beautiful.

This should not be missed as it provides a great hilltop view of the old city. On the way to the top you pass the Hebrew University which is one of the best in the World. This gravesite is the most coveted by people of...More

Never seen so many graves so close together in one place, Love to be around when the messiah appears at the gate of the old city when all these people will be resurrected. Quite an experience to see this.

There's a bus from the Damascus Gate at the Sultan Soliman bus terminus which goes up to the Church of Ascension/Mount of Olives.

Bob and I are in our late 50's and will be visiting Jerusalem for the first time in late October/early November of this year. We both have always wanted to visit the Holy Land! We were hoping to be able to renew our marriage vows somewhere in or around close to Jerusalem (Mount of Olives, or elsewhere). Bob is Jewish and I am Catholic. This might be difficult given our mixed faith situation. We did not want to do this at Cana (many seem to want this location). We have been in contact with a Messianic Rabbi who will perform a ceremony for us. Since a Church or synagogue is out of the question in Jerusalem, we were wondering about having the ceremony in a public location. Is this possible, given our situation? There would only be the Rabbi, Bob and I, and two witnesses present. Are there Holy sites where this could take place without causing disruption or controversy? We would be grateful for any information or suggestions you may have! God Bless you for your help.

Here's a suggestion: Contact the folks at The Garden Tomb and ask if it would be possible. It is a very serene peaceful location operated by a non profit group and may well be the location of Christ's burial. Look up... More
