Located outside the walls of Jerusalem, this beautiful garden among a grove of olive trees is thought to be the place where Jesus particularly enjoyed prayer and contemplation.

The garden of Gethsemane has olive trees dating back to the time of Christ. The garden itself is closed and can be viewed across the fence. Come early in the morning to avoid the sun and crowds. The place opens at 8 am. The chapel...More

Gethsemane is one of my favorite places in Jerusalem. Speaks of the obedience of Christ to lay down His life, despite all the challenges He knew He would face. Wish I could spend some quiet time here.

The Church of All Nations next to the garden has a phenomenal structure. You can sing acapella and it travels beautifully. The Gardon is enclosed so you cannot actually go into the garden.

How can you not be inspired just knowing that our Lord was here. I've walked where He walked, prayed where he prayed. It truly is AMAZING!!!

As part of day tour, walked around this garden full of gnarled trees, and then visited holy building next to it. It is like an oasis amidst old Jerusalem, one of several historic sites within say a mile across.
