This museum is one of the best museums that I have been too! We went for the purpose of seeing the Dead Sea Scrolls & the exhibition was very impressive & informative. The grounds have sculptures & a beautiful garden setting. One could spend a few days going through all the exhibits & wandering through the lovely gardens! This place... More

If museums are your thing, you will enjoy seeing original portions of the dead sea scrolls and learning more about the history of the scrolls. If you don't really enjoy museums and reading the information, you can skip this one.

I was overwhelmed with how incredible the various collections are. I learned about new and important historical findings during this visit as well as viewed a recent collection of photographs from the 1970's of the Mizrachi families living in poverty in Tel Aviv. This is a world class museum with amazing sculptures outside as well as the classic "LOVE" sculpture.

There's something for everyone at this terrific museum. The Dead Sea Scrolls are the draw, but stick around for the other exhibits, ranging from fascinating Judaica to mummies/tomb artifacts to an impressive collection of Roman glass, etc, etc. I'm not a big museum buff, but, realizing how much more there was to see, we went back two days in a... The redone museum has deservingly been spoken about by museum curators from all over the world. The beauty and drama of the display is striking and all is easily understood thanks to the interesting explanations near all exhibits. Everything can be found here, ancient antiquities, classical arts, sculpture....
