We did an English Sunday morning tour. The tour started 45 minutes late which was a big bummer, but thankfully it turned out to be the historical overview of Jerusalem, and we already had a basic knowledge of the area. This museum is located 5...More

We made this one of our last stops after four days in Jerusalem. Big mistake. It should have been our first. This is a fantastic museum, and a perfect introduction to the history of the city, as well as providing a great orientation as to...More

This museum provided a comprehensive and balanced history of Jerusalem going back more than 2,000 years. It also had what I thought was the best 360 degree view of Jerusalem. The audio guide for an extra 15 shekels is worth it.

It was well done as a review of the 3000+ year history of the Old City. It starts at 7 pm and I needed a parka to be warm, but the show was good as a pictorial overview.

Go to the museum 2 hours before closing, use audio guide with very cool scanning technology, have dinner outside of the old city, and return for the night show spectacular. An excellent audio-visual excursion into history. Great for families.

An evening event with a terrific light and laser show on the Tower walls. A time line of the life of the Citadel.

Yes you can. The museum is on the main level and you can let the kids explore around the citadel while an adult is visiting the museum.
